The Roundhouse Broxhill

15th July 2015

Survey of the Grade II* listed Roundhouse in Broxhill

I am very lucky as I get to see all sorts of impressive listed buildings and the colourful characters that reside within them in the course of my job.

However I was particularly impressed with “The Roundhouse” as I have seen nothing like it before. It was built in 1792 for William Sheldon, who apparently (disputed) may have been a tea merchant.

The building is round (unsurprisingly) and is absolutely fantastic both inside and out. The owner has also done a fantastic job of making this a completely one off house like no other.

A completely unique house and a privilege to be involved in it and to get to see it. So thanks to the owner !
