Richard Williams Bsc (hons) MRICS

Richard specialises in traditional construction and has significant experience in the repair, maintenance and development of traditional buildings.

Richard qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with the RICS in 2011. His initial career was developed in central London and mainly focused on larger project management and contract administration work.

At Heritage Consulting Richard provides consultancy services for historic properties on a daily basis, carrying out full building surveys to the RICS Level 3 standards, detailed timber frame repair works, production of specifications for repairs, and project management of works together with full contract administration duties.

Richard has worked on a number of complicated Grade II, II* and Grade I listed buildings. Castles, Follys, Farmhouses, Medievil Houses and various other buildings. Currently he is working on major repairs to a Grade I Jacobean Manor House, Major repairs to a Grade I listed historic monument and partially reconstructing a Grade II Medieval Hall House. Richard has provided advice and acted as expert witness on a number of historic buildings.

Richard is competent at recording buildings and archaeological interpretation surveys, including the recording, dating and documenting of timber framed buildings. Richard is able to provide historical advise on Timber Framed buildings and provide detailed specifications inc prescribing detailed methods of repair.
